How to Find Sales
There are several ways to find sales on our website.
Find Sales by Using our "drill down" map.
To be able to find all sales in your city, use our "drill down" map. First select your state, and then select your city. The resulting page will have ALL SALES listed on our website in your city. This map is on our home page as well as here.
They will be listed in chronilogical order, with the sales nearest at the top. Unlike newspaper advertising, which can be so expensive and ineffective, especially to advertise for several days or a few weeks, our sale advertisers can put their sale in as soon as they have it planned and scheduled on their calendar. As the date of their sale approaches, their listing will rise on their city page.
Find Sales by Using our Google City Sales map.
To find all sales, you need to use the drill down map as explained above, because everyone (unfortunately) does not elect to participate in this part of the program.
However, you will find most of the larger sales here and you will always find the Google City Sales map at the very top of your city sales page. Just click on the link to get the map updated for the sales in your city. Sales for the new week are added starting Mondays, and they are added daily as they are submitted through Saturday, so if you are going to be shopping on the weekend, visit the website early the same morning you are shopping and print out the latest map!
The map will show you where each sale is, making them easier to find, and will also give you the details about the sale!
Find Sales by Using our Find Sale by Phone Service.
We are trying to make every possible convenience available for sellers and shoppers alike! Not everyone (unfortunately) takes part in this aspect of the program, but for those that do (sales that are selling things with higher values will usually), you can dial our always local or toll free number and get up-to-date information about sales in your area.
How cool is that! You can call our number on your cell phone and find out where the sales are, when they are going, as well as what they are selling along with any rules or incentives provided by the seller!
How to Advertise Your Sale
List Your Sale on our Website

When you have made your decision, click on the appropriate link to order your listing.
To be successful in any business venture, you need to market well. Advertising and marketing are not the same thing. Marketing is all-encompassing and assumes research and planning, while advertising is simple a paid public announcement. Advertising is often not effective because it fails to reach the target audience and then offers nothing compelling when it does.
If you are considering advertising your sale, think with us and let's do a little "my sale marketing research" before you start throwing your money at ineffectual advertising.
Post Several Good Signs that People can Actually see AND Read!
The little signs that almost everyone uses are IMPOSSIBLE for passer's by to see. (Unless they are on FOOT and walking very slowly. They have to get about 18" from the sign to read it!
However, I noticed (as I did this small business marketing research myself before launching this little enterprise) that nearly all of these signs (usually tacked or duct-taped to a sign post) were facing the traffic! Now, I'm not the most brilliant of beings ever born, but it seems to me that if someone posts a sign towards passing traffic (going 25 miles per hour or better), they are wanting drivers of vehicles and cars to see it! Otherwise, they would have faced them towards the sidewalk.
Herein lies the problem. Neither drivers nor passengers can read the sign. Oh, sure they can discern "Garage Sale" or "Yard Sale" easy enough, but the address, days and hours are impossible to read!
Why do people waste their time and money on these things? Well, we are like sheep and sortof stupid sometimes. A few sheep start running down the hill and jumping to their death, and the others will follow. We tend to follow the crowd. We see the stupid little signs out there and so we do the same thing. Stupid, huh?
I've done such stupid things myself, but having developed some critical thinking skills, I thought my way out of this trap. Another thing is we don't project so well. We see things as we see them, but we must all admit that it is difficult for us to see things as others do.
When you bought the sign, you could read it fine - even from down the isle, right? The problem was, you were only reading the part that is legible! You weren't trying to read the details that you are going to write on the sign after you get it home! Why? Because it wasn't on there yet, so you have been fooled!
Now, you get home, take out your permanent marker and go to work. You carefully (maybe) write the details of your sale as legibly as possible (in that teeny weeny little space). You can see it fine, though, can't you? Why? Because you are 18" from the surface!
I know this is painful, but you must project! Your potential customers, the ones that you are hoping to sell to, are going to be no nearer than 25' away from your sign and travelling at least 25 miles per hour! See the problem now?
If you are making your signs for people walking down the sidewalk, at least face them towards the sidewalk so people don't have to stand in the road to read your signs!
A bit more marketing reasearch you might do: drive around the area where you plan on posting your signs. How many people are walking down the sidewalk? You may see other sale signs posted. You are moving at least 25 miles per hour or so, unless you are in a school zone. Can you read those teeny weeny signs?
Thankfully, there is a solution for this dilemma -- buy my signs! I don't make a lot of money on them and I need the money, okay? You really need signs that people can see and read, so do us both a favor!
